Health Professions Discipline Tribunals Resources

These resources apply to the Discipline Committee of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario, the Ontario Physicians and Surgeons Discipline Tribunal and the Ontario Registered Psychotherapists Discipline Tribunal. Each is the Discipline Committee of their respective health college established under the Health Professions Procedural Code and is called the “Tribunal” in these resources.

Legislation and Regulations

The Tribunal’s responsibilities and powers are found in different Acts and regulations made by the government of Ontario.

Rules of Procedure and Forms

The Rules of Procedure and forms establish the Tribunal’s processes and procedures. They are made by the Tribunal pursuant to the Statutory Powers Procedure Act.

Practice Directions

The Practice Directions should be read together with the Rules of Procedure.

Practice Directions support and supplement the Rules by describing what the Tribunal and parties can expect from each other, as well as additional information about the Rules.
